THE FIFTH OR THROAT CHAKRA - VISHUDDHA
Its colour is blue or turquoise and it is located within the throat. It is the chakra of communication, creativity, self-expression and judgement. It is associated with your neck, shoulders, arms, hands, thyroid and parathyroid glands. It is concerned with the senses of inner and outer hearing, the synthesising of ideas, healing, transformation and purification.
You enter into the sage realm. Your inner-hearing develops as well as your authentic voice. You listen to the guidance received and develop the will to act on it. The throat interprets and expresses the images received by the 6th chakra. It expresses the heart's deepest desires. It also is the center of choice and consequence.
Blockage may manifest as:
- Creative blocks
- Dishonesty
- Problems in communicating ones needs to others
- Fear of speaking
- Poor rhythm
- Inability to listen
- Dishonestly with ourselves or others
- Sore throat
- Going against your personal rhythms and the rhythms of life
This chakra is associated with faith, self- knowledge, personal authority, the capacity to make decisions, as well as keeping your word to yourself and another person. Here you learn how to generate the power to move yourself out of energetically stuck places.
What choices would we make if we could actually see the energy consequences? Actions motivated by personal will that have trust in Divine authority create the best effects.
THE POWER OF WILL: The fifth chakra is the center of choice and consequence, of spiritual karma. Here we surrender our personal will to the will of the Divine.
